We, here at McCann, rock around the clock. Last night we rocked big time with The Rolling Stones. It’s not like we didn’t expect it to be great, but, man, they swept us off our feet. The fireworks, the loud crystal clear sound, Keith’s cigarette in the corner of his mouth while playing guitar, Mick’s booty, the huge lips, the stage moving back and forth, the big screens, Mick speaking Romanian, Keith giving the “Capt. Sparrow” speech, it was all beyond our wildest imaginations. And we can imagine quite a bit.
And “Sympathy for the devil” - how cool was that? And the fire! It almost burned our bangs, we were that close to them! The Rolling Stones are The Daddies.
Enjoy some movie clips while you’re at it.
… of another perfect wonder.
speechless, I am. Letters, syllables and possibly words, in re:publik, august issue.

Every morning we wake up and we look at these. They are the most beautiful things we’ve ever seen!
So far. Only 3 days to go!!!! We will share with you this wonderful experience next week.

Re:publik, the June issue, is hosting yet another article written by myself (with the help of Sandina The Lovely) about some cool live action. Arctic Monkeys, not only that they are damn good musicians, but they single-handedly changed the music marketing industry, being the first group that won awareness exclusively on internet, becoming the biggest selling newcomer ever in UK history.
You can find out more about it, as well as other fab stuff, including Cannes Film Festival movies, if you buy the magazine. And by doing so, you encourage and support the emerging talent that we’re trying so hard to show off. :-))

“Live Earth will use the global reach of music to engage people on a mass scale to combat our climate crisis. Live Earth will bring together more than 150 of the world’s top musicians for 24-hours of music from 7 concerts across all 7 continents. Live Earth will bring together an audience of more than 2 billion at the concerts and through television, radio, film, and the Internet. That audience, and the proceeds from the event, will create the foundation for a new, multi-year global effort to combat the climate crisis led by Vice President Al Gore. Kevin Wall, Worldwide Executive Producer of Live 8, is producing Live Earth.”
The venues are: Wembley Stadium (London, UK), Giants Stadium (New Jersey, USA), and (as far as I know) undisclosed locations in Brazil, Japan, Shanghai, Johannesburg and Sydney.

In light of this ongoing controversy about filesharing, peer2peer downloading, and DRM (digital rights management) - which ultimately lead to the concept of music piracy - McCann Erickson Norway was in charge of creating a campaign meant to illustrate the effects this issue has on the local music industry. The short documentary they created is pretty cool - also check out the “Myths and Facts” section of the website.
