Kurt Cobain ‘honoured’ with signature trainer Nirvana man gets his own Converse shoe Mar 18, 2008. Kurt Cobain is to be “honoured” with his own training shoe this year. The Nirvana frontman is to get a limited edition Converse shoe bearing his name, lyrics, writing and signature to mark the brand’s 100th anniversary, reports Brand Republic. Unlike a Doc Martin’s campaign featuring Kurt Cobain last year, Cobain’s widow Courtney Love has sanctioned this release. The Cobain shoe is part of the trainer brand’s birthday celebrations, which have featured a number of other dead people. These have included Joy Division’s Ian Curtis, writer Hunter S Thompson and the Sex Pistols’ Sid Vicious. What do you think of the Kurt Cobain trainer?
