In our efforts to benefit from our network’s resources, Mike Longhurst (SVP Business Development, McCann Worldgroup EMEA) was here for two days, last week, to train the senior staff from our Client Service and Planning departments. Our excitement was at its peak as Mike helped us improve our management skills by enlightening us in the field of profiling. Don’t imagine that usual white-collar training session, though – we don’t really like that. It took place at the ACT Theatre down on Calea Victoriei, and it was decently unconventional: exactly what we were hoping for – an interactive seminar meant to explore the ideas and the psychology in what we do and ultimately improve our communication skills.
Mike, who is based over at our network’s London headquarters, has over 20 years of experience in this industry. Unfortunately for him, though not everyone around here was as friendly as us – a female canine (the largely-accepted term may be a bit too inappropriate) had a go at his foot, in a ruthless attempt to chew it off – she was probably overprotective of her hometown. Worry not, though, one trip to a nearby hospital was all it took to fix him up.
UPDATE: Here’s a picture Mike sent us, portraying that malefic canine. Apparently, he wasn’t aware of a certain previous incident, tragically involving another stray and a Japanese businessman…
